Cassetto chair :: Studiobo

“ Cassetto” in Italian means a drawer.

After we came back from visitting Milan design week last year.We have a big question to challenge our idea “Why a chair must beauty only the front-side?” So,It made our inspiration to concern more about back-side of the chair and analyze this idea to design.Then,We generated this conceptual idea in experimental design by merge 2 product forms between the chair and the drawer storage to make an individual drawer chair.
The gimmick and humor of the fake drawers are the added values of this chair.

Treme - Treme :: TRIPTYQUE

Inspired by the vibrating graphics of the Sao Paulo's city center's towers, the Treme-Treme library is a homage to the Brazilian megalopolis.
Powerful and sensual, it revisits the organicity and the depth of the "vertical favelas".
Playing with the boundary between architecture and design, Treme-Treme modifies and carves the environment of which it forms part, giving movement and dynamics to spaces(...).

50 Park Avenue Project :: Brad Ascalon

50 Park Avenue Project was designed for a private client who owns a beautiful midtown apartment, decorated and furnished almost entirely in mid-century objects. For the bedroom, the client wanted some of that aesthetic to carry over, but at the same time, was looking for something modern and fresh. 50 Park Avenue was designed to be very warm and soothing, both visually and to the touch. Within these pieces exist unexpected/atypical areas for storage and display, from the bud vase in the headboard to the vertical and horizontal niches in the nightstands and credenza, used for books or other personal objects, as well as a dvd player/cable box. The project was created with walnut-stained cherry and a cotton-silk blend of fabric. The drawers utilize an auto-closing mechanism. And the glass bud vase built into the headboard adds that little unexpected splash of color and life to the heavy earth tones that dominate the room.
