During the Furniture Fair / Salone del Mobile (from 18 to 23 April 2007), the Cité du Design will show the EDEN DNA exhibition in the Centre Culturel Français de Milan until 19 May.

Steiner Paris, the most French of top-of-the-range furniture makers, is celebrating its 80th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the label is staging an exceptional exhibition that retraces its history in a display of its finest ‘vintage' models. What better way to discover the evolution of French design from the 20s to 2007!

As the oldest French furniture label, Steiner Paris is proud to symbolize the memory of modern French design and to share this precious heritage with all those who love fine pieces and history.

Patrick Favardin, specialist of 50s and 60s design, has taken advantage of the event to tell the unique Steiner Paris story in a book about the pioneer label, which has always been in the vanguard of creation.

DESIGNMAI is an international design festival held annually in Berlin. Boasting 100 events, exhibitions, workshops, presentations, discussions and talks it serves as a platform for Berlin’s design scene and international stars. Berlin becomes the barometer of the most innovative design trends.

DESIGNMAI was established in 2003 by Transform-Berlin e.V. – seven players in the Berlin design scene: Werner Aisslinger, Britt Angelis, Marion Godau, Ulrike Rose, Mateo Kries, Oliver Vogt and Hermann Weizenegger.

2007 marks the fifth anniversary of DESIGNMAI. From May 12 – 20, 2007 the festival will focus on "DIGITALABILITY", addressing the relationship between digital technology and design from various perspectives. In an age when computers impact on all areas of our everyday life we take their existence for granted. But what significance does this have for the design of our environment and for those whose brief it is to design it?

The selection of participants is already finished. We look forward to experience DESIGNMAI 2007 with really exciting projects!

"Fettuccine loop" coffee table combines fluidity, transparency and complex movement into one striking object.

The eye follows continuously the aluminum loop. "Fettuccine loop" is made of a glass plate posed over a twisted thick aluminum strip.
The strip is a composition of two pairs of identical parts.

Currently the "Fettuccine loop" is available for limited production runs and custom commissions.
