Eric Jourdan products news 2008

'Stem' for Cinna

The clean lines and basic forms of these tables and storage units appeared in 2007. Jourdan describes them as being 'Silent as a yacht's shell cutting water stem to stern'

Urban structure, Saint-Etienne station

Jourdan fans and connoisseurs will see in this fence-gate structure a logical follow-on to the designer's experiments in furniture-architecture, in particular the 'Traversants' set shown at the Peyroulet gallery in the year 2000: a series of free-standing partition pieces to mark separation in space as well as passage to another room.

It is a large openwork screen that fills two functions: channel and admit. Commenting on it, Jourdan says: 'The structure is there without being there: people have to be able to pass thru it and also feel its presence wherever they happen to be on the train station forecourt. There is also a reference to modernism in the definition of an open plan space, in the spirit of Mies van der Rohe'.

Studio concept :: design by Stephane Perruchon

The space is a rare foodstuff in the inside of the big metropolises. That is why the designers rack themselves brains to create functional furniture allowing to save invaluable square meters. Where from the idea of the creative young person Stéphane Perruchon to conceive this coffee table with integrated Seat. Very practical, this system is also very design with Seat round or squared in the slightly acid colours which contrast Perfectly with the black of the coffee table.

Tall&Tiny :: Alice Rosignoli

Tall&Tiny are two Vinyl sticker-lamps, the shape of Tall remind of a large living-room lamp and the shape of Tiny of a small bedside lamp. As a decorative furniture, Tall&Tiny answers the desire/need for home furnitures while considering the problem of ever-decreasing living space. In fact the sticker allows the transformation of a 3D object into a 2D one, giving the illusion of a lamp without the encumbrance of the material.

30x20 cm for Tiny and 180x50 cm for Tall
