Tsunoda initiates new industrial design studio in Barcelona
Barcelona based Japanese designer, Hiroshi Tsunoda, considered by many as one of the emerging young industrial designers on the Spanish and international scene, chose this years biggest design event, Salone Internazional de Mobile, en Milan, to present his new design studio, HTDS (Hiroshi Tsunoda Design Studio). Tsunoda whose designs are appreciated for being stylish and innovative, as well as their functionality, made a strong impact.

- Chic Spring - 2005 - prototype - metal, wood

Four different lamps belonging together; the Chic lamps are a tribute to the 4 seasons of the country of the raising sun. Laser cut motives of what designer Hiroshi Tsunoda sees as typical for the Japanese seasons. The pink color of Chic Spring represents the overpowering blooming of the cherry blossoms. All the lamps can be made as a table or hanging lamp.

- K chair - 2005 - self produced - aluminum.

Big yet elegant and attractive. K chair is made out of one whole sheet of laser cut aluminum. It consists of two exact pieces, joined together. It's painted with a shiny finish outside and matte finish inside.
