The signum of Lone aswell as it´s sibling, the metal chair Allume, is that they share red rubber details; a flirt with what happens when known shapes are changed, however small the change.

The emperors lamp is a steel frame pendant fixture covered in soft velvetlike flockfibres. An outline in the mental image of a lamp aiming to question the conflict between the objectively visible and the individually perceived.

Muji is launching an international design competition. A project calling for entries from all over the world of designs that shake up and stir people. The results will be announced at the Milan Salone. Our first theme is “SUMI”, We're asking you to focus your design, not on the major pieces that are central to a room, rather to observe the extremes of the space, the unexplored areas of consciousness. We invite anyone in the world to propose a new Muji product!

We would like to invite you to the presentation of MASTER LAYER collection in Milan from 5 to 10 of April, in Zona Tortona Design 2006, Superstudio 13 (spaces 9 and 11) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. This presentation is integrated in the exhibition Portugal by Portugal, organised by Design+ , Portugese Center of Design.
