It is what the "truc" ?? by housefish.com

Launched last month by Gilles Roudot, trucdesign.com is easily the best new design blog to come online since, oh about December 7th or so. Gilles is French, but he posts in English, much to my gratitude. If you had an enthusiastic French teacher in high school, you might remember that "truc" is a slangy word for a thing, like "gizmo" or "doodad." Or you might have to look it up like I did. Anyway, the gizmos on trucdesign are modern products and furniture, most of which you haven't seen blogged all over the web already. A bit like what we try to do here. Definitely worth adding to your feed reader.

Reflection of the asian urban

“ Before we design something,We consider it important to recognize ourselves as a person living in a contemporary society between modernity and tradition , technology and nature , urban and regional.Because of Thailand is now in the gap between modernity and tradition. From these environment,It become to our inspiration to design products and finding the hidden desires , wishes and experiences by bring back the nature concept into the urban lifestyle.â€

Concept of Products

1. Cassetto : chair
Concept : “Cassetto†in Italian means a drawer.

After we came back from visitting Milan design week last year.
We have a big question to challenge our idea “Why a chair must beauty only the front-side?†So,It made our inspiration to concern more about back-side of the chair and analyze this idea to design. Then,We generated this conceptual idea in experimental design by merge 2 product forms between the chair and the drawer storage to make an individual drawer chair.
The gimmick and humor of the fake drawers are the added values of this chair.

2. Moose : Memo board

Concept : Nowadays,Trend of conservation including wild life is the important trend in our society.Everywhere,People and environmental organizations have protested and banned the animal hunting and decorating their deer or moose heads on the wall.
From this concept made our inspiration to create product for decorate.

This products are available both the white board and the cork board laminated with black or white stained-MDF board.

Stealth chair

Designing this chair is based on a study of humans ergonomical posture, especially such situations where people associate with each other. Stealth is a test of finding out ergonomically right seat, which is constructed by only flat surfaces. It surprises seating person with irony of hard flat surfaces, which look uncomfortable but are ergonomically comfortable.
